Junior Web Developer

As an IntelliSites’ Junior Developer, you'll have the opportunity to work in a team to develop web applications within web sites for small to mid-sized businesses.

• You enjoy working in teams. We do lots of work collaboratively, and we feed off of each other’s ideas. You’ll get a chance to run with your idea often.

• You get excited at coming to work to do database and application development. You’ll be in good company. We’re geeks with dapper exteriors.

• You’ve worked in development for a few years, either freelance or for another company.

• You are a whiz in PHP, ColdFusion, ASP.NET, and/or other application development platforms - and you drool over learning new ones and tricks for the ‘old ones’. Now you’re talking! And stop drooling.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Junior Web Developer will work on creating and/or modifying web applications, and will be heavily involved in the production of web-based modules and assets.

Required Skill Knowledge and Experience:

• Two years+ database development and development processes (analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging)

• Good knowledge of ColdFusion MX 7 and/or 8

• Two+ years experience with PHP5, ASP, ASP.NET, JavaScript (including the jQuery and Prototype frameworks)

• Two+ years experience developing web-based applications (individually or in a team)

• Two years+ working knowledge of Web Standards (HTML/ CSS/ JavaScript/ XHTML)

• Demonstrable expertise with Object Oriented Programming, such as AJAX & JSON.

• Two years+ experience with fixing browser compatibility and HTML bug issues

• Two years+ experience with mySQL and/or SQL.

• Strong eye for design detail

• Good Knowledge of Web Application Security

Preferred Software Knowledge:

• Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver

• Microsoft Office

Educational Requirements:

BS/BA in Computer Science or related field and/or demonstrated experience in web development. Knowledge of server technology, including Windows Server 2003, Redhat Enterprise, IIS, Apache, MySQL, MSSQL, and ColdFusion server a plus.
